Access control logs tell you who entered. They do not tell you what they did. Archangel does.

Corporate offices invest heavily in access control: building management systems, turnstile barriers, floor-by-floor reader systems, visitor management software. The investment addresses authorised access. It does not address the gap between authorised access and behaviour within the building. Tailgating through secured doors is a persistent vulnerability that access logs cannot detect, because the tailgater does not generate a credential event.

After-hours intrusion in office buildings follows a different pattern from retail or warehouse environments. It is often targeted: specific floors, server rooms, executive offices or areas with high-value equipment. Standard perimeter cameras detect entry. What they do not detect is the movement pattern within the building that follows entry, the individual who has gained access to the lobby but is moving toward non-public areas.

Aggression in reception and client-facing areas is an underweighted concern in office environments. Front-of-house staff at large corporate receptions face incidents involving external visitors, contractors and occasionally members of the public. Detection that identifies pre-aggression indicators in reception areas gives front desk staff and security the ability to act before a situation escalates to a physical incident.

Data centre and server room access is a security layer that goes beyond physical intrusion. Detection that identifies individuals in proximity to critical infrastructure zones outside their normal access profile, or that flags loitering near server rooms, adds a physical security layer to what is typically a purely digital monitoring regime.
