We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. That means we decide what is collected and what happens to it.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers archangelprotect.ai. It explains what happens when you browse the site, fill in a form, use one of our tools, book a demo or register for a webinar.
It does not cover the Archangel detection platform itself. The platform analyses CCTV video in real time and works differently: it does not use facial recognition, does not process biometric data, and does not store footage. You can read how the platform handles data on our security and trust page. If you are a customer, the handling of data in your deployment is governed by your contract with us, not by this policy.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in a form on this site, we collect what you type in.

Please do not send us confidential security details through this website
Our survey and message boxes are for general information about your readiness. Do not use them to send specific details of vulnerabilities at a named site, floor plans, camera positions, staffing patterns, or anything else that would help someone cause harm. If we need that level of detail, we will arrange a secure route for it.
Information we collect automatically
- Your IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location based on IP, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site.
- The first page you landed on and the website or campaign that referred you. We attach this to enquiries so we know which of our activity is working.
Identifying visiting organisations
If you accept analytics cookies, we use a service called Warmly. It looks up the IP address your visit came from and tells us which organisation it belongs to, so we can see which companies are looking at us. It is aimed at identifying organisations rather than individuals, but an IP address is personal information under UK law, so we treat it as such and only run it with your consent. Decline analytics cookies and it does not load.
4. Why we use it and our legal basis
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful reason for using your information. Here is ours, in each case.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether it is fair to you. You can object at any time using the contact details above.
5. Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Nothing that is optional loads until you agree to it. When you first arrive you can accept, decline, or choose. If you decline, we still store one small record of that choice, so we do not ask you again on every page.

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your information to anyone.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, and it is as easy as giving it in the first place. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, Google provides a browser add-on.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the suppliers below, who process it on our instructions, and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.

If we ever sell the business or part of it, personal information may pass to the buyer. We would tell you if that changed how your information is used.
7. Sending information outside the UK
Some of our suppliers are based in the United States, so your information may be handled there. Where that happens, we rely on the UK Government’s adequacy decision for the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the supplier is certified under it, or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner. You can ask us which applies to a particular supplier.
8. How long we keep information

9. How we keep information safe
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it, protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication. We review who has access, and we keep our suppliers under written terms that require them to protect your information.
No website can promise perfect security. If a breach happens that puts your rights at risk, we will report it to the Information Commissioner within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and tell you if you are likely to be seriously affected.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to restrict how we use it
- Object to us using it, including for direct marketing
- Ask us to transfer it to you or another provider in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where we relied on consent
- Not be subject to a decision made purely by automated means that has a significant effect on you. We do not make any such decisions on this website.
To use any of these, email privacy@archangelprotect.ai. It is free, and we will reply within one month. If your request is complicated we may take up to two further months, and we will tell you if that happens. We may need to check who you are first.
11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator, at any time.

12. Children
This website is aimed at people responsible for security at venues and organisations. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change materially affects how we use your information, we will make that clear on the site, and tell you directly where we can.
