How It Works
Under the hood
Archangel's crowd monitoring system counts and tracks people across your camera network without identifying anyone. It builds a real-time density heatmap of your entire space, showing exactly where people are concentrated, where flow bottlenecks are forming, and which areas are approaching capacity limits.
The system calculates density at a granular level, measuring people per square metre across defined zones. You set capacity thresholds for each zone, and the system alerts when those limits are approached or breached. It also tracks flow rates through entrances, exits, and corridors, identifying when throughput drops below safe levels.
Evacuation readiness is calculated continuously. The system models how long it would take to clear each zone based on current density, exit capacity, and flow patterns. If an emergency occurs, operators have an instant picture of where the highest-risk concentrations are and which exits have available capacity.
