Under the hood
Archangel's PPE model runs continuously across your site cameras, checking every person in frame against the PPE requirements defined for that zone. You configure which equipment is mandatory for each area: hard hats in the construction zone, hi-vis everywhere on site, eye protection near cutting stations, gloves in the chemical store.
The model identifies each piece of PPE individually. It recognises hard hats from above and at angle, distinguishes between hi-vis vests and standard clothing, identifies gloves on hands versus pocketed, and checks for safety boot shapes versus trainers. Each item is tracked per person, so the system knows exactly who is missing what.
When a violation is detected, the alert includes the specific missing item, the zone, and the camera frame showing the violation. This gives supervisors the information they need to address the issue immediately. Violation data aggregates into compliance reports that show trends by zone, time, and violation type.
